The LITRE Student Learning Task Force, a committee of North Carolina State University faculty members and assessment professionals has developed this collection of “tools" to help in research into student learning. AACE Journal (AACEJ), originally a print journal entitled Educational Technology Review (ETR), has been transformed into an online publication.

(The) American Journal of Distance Education AJDE is the internationally recognized journal of research and scholarship in the field of American distance education.

Australian Journal of Educational Technology. Publishes research and review articles in educational technology, instructional design, educational applications of computer technologies, educational telecommunications, and related areas.

Computers in Education. Published by the Northeast Consortium for Engineering Education - serves engineering, mathematics, and science faculties who wish to improve the quality of instruction through the use of computers.

Contemporary Issues in Technology and Teacher Education (CITE) is an electronic publication of the Society for Information Technology and Teacher Education (SITE), established as a multimedia, interactive counterpart of the Journal of Technology and Teacher Education.

EDUCAUSE Quarterly is a practitioner's peer-reviewed journal for college and university managers and users of information resources—information, technology, and services—published quarterly by EDUCAUSE. Articles related to planning for, developing, managing, evaluating, and using information resources on college and university campuses are welcomed.

Educational Technology Research and Development: A bi-monthly publication of the Association for Educational Communications & Technology. The Research Section assigns highest priority in reviewing manuscripts to rigorous original quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods studies on topics relating to applications of technology or instructional design in educational setting. The Development Section publishes research on planning, implementation, evaluation and management of a variety of instructional technologies and learning environments.

International Journal on E-Learning (IJEL) Advances in technology and the growth of e-learning to provide educators and trainers with unique opportunities to enhance learning and teaching in corporate, government, healthcare, and higher education.  IJEL serves as a forum to facilitate the international exchange of information on the current research, development, and practice of e-learning in these sectors.

The International Journal of Instructional Media  (IJIM) is the source of cutting edge research and commentary on all forms of instructional media used in instruction and training today. IJIM bridges the gap between theory and practice.

Journal of Asynchronous Learning Networks. The aim of the Journal of Asynchronous Learning Networks is to describe original work in asynchronous learning networks (ALN), including experimental results. The mission is to provide practitioners in online education with knowledge about the very best research in online learning.

Journal of Computing in Higher Education. Publishes peer-reviewed essays, reviews, institutional reports, and research articles that contribute to our understanding of the issues, problems, and research associated with instructional technologies and educational environments.

Journal of Interactive Media in Education. JIME is a freely available e-journal, published since 1996, targeted at researchers and practitioners interested in educational technology.

Journal of Research on Technology in Education. The quarterly JRTE publishes articles that report on original research, system or project descriptions and evaluations, syntheses of the literature, assessments of the state of the art, and theoretical or conceptual positions that relate to educational computing. International in scope and thorough in its coverage, the theoretical and conceptual articles in JRTE define the state of the art and future horizons of educational computing.

Journal of Technology Education is an online journal available through the Digital Library and Archives at Virginia Tech.

The Journal of Technology, Learning and Assessment (JTLA)
is a peer-reviewed, scholarly on-line journal addressing the intersection of computer-based technology, learning, and assessment.

Studies in Learning, Evaluation, Innovation and Development is a peer-reviewed electronic journal published at least once a year by the LEID (Learning, Evaluation, Innovation and Development) Centre, Division of Teaching and Learning Services, Central Queensland University, Australia.

The MERLOT Journal of Online Learning and Teaching (JOLT) is a peer-reviewed, online publication addressing the scholarly use of multimedia resources in education. OLT is published quarterly in March, June, September, and December.

Other publications

Educational Technology Magazine a magazine publishing articles which interpret research and/or practical applications of scientific knowledge in education and training environments.

T.H.E. Journal (Technological Horizons in Education) contains articles from educators involved in integrating technology on their campuses and into their curricula.
