The history department will be using its LITRE grant to create a digital library for use in the teaching of history.  The library will collect and make accessible the visual and documentary materials that history faculty currently use in their teaching but that are not readily accessible for use in each other’s courses. Once created, the digital library will be available to the departmental faculty, to the students that we teach, and, to the extent that copyright law permits, to the general public.  On our home page it will be combined with links to resources on the web and with syllabi to create portals for each of the teaching and research specialties of the department.
